Agra 2025 Hindi Movie. A young man named Guru lives in the city of Agra, confined by the cramped quarters of his family home and the weight of his unfulfilled desires. Sleeping in the same room as his mother, while his father occupies the upper floor with his mistress, Guru’s world is defined by boundaries—both physical and emotional. Obsessed with a fictional girl named Mala, he dreams of carving out his own space on the terrace, just as his father has with his mistress.
As he drifts into the shimmering yet hollow world of dating apps, fantasies and self-harm, the film charts his descent into sexual and psychological chaos. With rare boldness, the story delves into fantasies, virtual encounters, and the unsettling terrain of desire and repression in modern India.
It is an Indo-French co-production (Saregama India Ltd, UFO Production, O28 Films) and had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival (Directors’ Fortnight) in 2023.
