Ajey – The Untold Story of a Yogi is a compelling 2025 Indian biographical political drama that chronicles the extraordinary transformation of Ajay Singh Bisht from a humble boy in the Himalayas to becoming Yogi Adityanath, revered monk and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced under Samrat Cinematics, the film draws inspiration from the book The Monk Who Became Chief Minister by Shantanu Gupta, weaving spirituality, sacrifice, and leadership into a powerful narrative.
The role of Ajay/Yogi is portrayed by Anant Joshi, whose performance anchors the story with authenticity and emotional depth. Although some critics point to its hagiographic tone, performances—especially by Anant Joshi—have been widely appreciated, and the movie is expected to stream on OTT platforms later in 2025 after its theatrical run.
