Synopsis:
Anemone is a powerful family drama set in Northern England. It follows Jem Stoker (Sean Bean), a middle-aged man who leaves his suburban life and ventures into the woods to reconnect with his estranged brother, Ray Stoker (Daniel Day-Lewis), a hermit living in deep isolation. Bound by a mysterious and troubled past, the two men must face long-buried secrets and traumas that have shaped their lives.
Alongside them are Nessa Stoker (Samantha Morton), Brian Stoker (Samuel Bottomley), and Safia Oakley-Green, each drawn into the tension, grief, and hope of reconciliation. Anemone is co-written by Day-Lewis and his son Ronan Day-Lewis (in his directorial debut), and it explores the emotional terrain of brotherhood, paternal legacies, and the haunting effects of history.
