Synopsis:
Season 3 of The Diplomat picks up in a high-stakes political cauldron. Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) accused Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of plotting a terrorist act—and then everything changes. The former President is dead, possibly at the hands of Kate’s husband Hal (Rufus Sewell), and Grace Penn is now the President. Meanwhile, Hal pushes to elevate Kate to the Vice President—something she never wanted. In the midst of this chaos, Kate must navigate an increasingly complex friendship with Austin Dennison (David Gyasi), negotiate a difficult bond with new First Gentleman Todd Penn (Bradley Whitford), and face what it means to finally get what you’ve been working toward—only to discover you may regret it.
