Set approximately one year after the events of The Clone Wars (following Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire), the story follows the former Sith Lord, Maul, as he goes into hiding. Rather than fading into obscurity, Maul views the transition of power in the galaxy as a strategic opportunity to rebuild his shattered criminal empire from the shadows. He chooses the neon-drenched, cyberpunk-style planet of Janix\u2014a world currently operating outside of Imperial control\u2014as his base of operations<\/p>\n
The narrative unfolds as a tense, noir-inspired crime thriller. Maul\u2019s ambitions are challenged by Detective Brander Lawson, a local “space cop” determined to bring him down, and by a young, struggling Jedi Padawan named Devon Izara, who is hiding with her master in the city’s underbelly.
