Rocky Randhawa is a flamboyant, loud, and larger-than-life Punjabi boy from a wealthy family that owns the famous “Dhanlakshmi Sweets” in Delhi. Rani Chatterjee, on the other hand, is a sophisticated, highly educated, and intellectual Bengali news anchor. The two come from worlds that couldn’t be more different\u2014one is rooted in traditional patriarchal values and business, while the other thrives on liberal thought and culture.<\/p>\n
Their paths cross when Rocky tries to help his grandfather, Kanwal, who suffers from memory loss, reunite with a woman from his past named Jamini. As it turns out, Jamini is Rani\u2019s grandmother. While attempting to bring their grandparents together to rekindle an old flame, Rocky and Rani unexpectedly fall in love. However, they quickly realize that their families are polar opposites and will likely never agree to their union.<\/p>\n
To bridge this massive cultural gap, they come up with a unique plan: they decide to “switch” houses for three months.
