Synopsis

Raju Weds Rambai (2025) is a poignant rural romantic drama inspired by true events, set in a vibrant village in Telangana. The story follows Raju, a carefree young man with a passion for music, who plays the drums in his family’s traditional brass band. His life revolves around his friends and his childhood crush, Rambai, the daughter of a stern hospital compounder named Venkanna.

Despite their deep affection for one another, the couple faces immense pressure from their families and the social divide of their village. Raju’s father, hoping for a better future for his son, sends him to Hyderabad to find a stable job. However, the urban life fails to satisfy Raju, whose heart remains tethered to the village and the girl he left behind.

The narrative takes a dark and emotional turn when the couple realizes that their families will never willingly accept their union. In an act of desperation, they hatch a plan to force their parents’ hands, which leads to a series of tragic and shocking consequences.
