Synopsis

Zara is an unassuming office worker at Lochmill Capital, a high-stakes pension fund investment firm in the heart of London. Her mundane routine of spreadsheets and coffee is violently shattered when a gang of armed, high-tech thieves storms the building. Unlike a typical bank heist, these criminals aren’t looking for cash in a vault—they are targeting billions of pounds in pension funds, and they need Zara’s internal access to pull it off.

Trapped alongside her best friend and colleague, Luke, Zara is forced into a heart-pounding moral dilemma. As the thieves demand she execute untraceable financial transfers, she realizes that complying means wiping out the life savings of millions of ordinary citizens. The series shifts focus from the mechanics of the robbery to the psychological pressure on the hostages, who are caught between their will to survive and their conscience.

On the outside, DCI Rhys is the lead investigator tasked with managing the crisis. However, Rhys is a recently relapsed gambling addict drowning in his own massive debts. His personal desperation creates a dangerous conflict of interest, as he navigates a web of corporate secrets and competing agendas while trying to keep his own life from spiraling out of control during the negotiation.

As the heist unfolds in near real-time, the lines between hero and villain begin to blur. Zara discovers that the robbery might not be an external attack, but an inside job with roots deep within the company’s leadership. With British intelligence closing in and the thieves becoming increasingly desperate, Zara must find a way to outsmart both the criminals and the system to save herself and the people’s money.
