Synopsis

Tak Dong-kyung lives a remarkably ordinary and hardworking life as a web novel editor, but her world shatters in a single day. She is diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and told she has only 100 days to live. On the same day, she discovers her boyfriend is married and pregnant, gets scolded by her boss, and encounters a pervert on the subway. Drowning her sorrows in alcohol, she looks at a shooting star and drunkenly wishes for the world to be “doomed.”

Her desperate wish reaches the ears of Myul Mang (which literally means “Destruction”), a supernatural messenger between gods and humans. Weary of his eternal existence where everything he touches withers or dies, Myul Mang decides to fulfill Dong-kyung’s wish as his own birthday gift. He appears at her doorstep, offering her a dangerous 100-day contract: she can live her remaining days without pain, and he will grant her one final wish before she dies.

The catch is a heavy one: if she fails to wish for the world’s destruction before her time is up, the person she loves most at that moment will die instead. To save her loved ones, Dong-kyung makes a risky psychological gamble—she decides she will try to fall in love with “Doom” himself, so that he is the one who will have to disappear when the time comes.

As they begin to live together to fulfill the terms of the contract, the lines between hatred and love begin to blur. Myul Mang, who has never felt human emotions, begins to experience warmth and longing for the first time. The series explores a poetic and philosophical journey about the necessity of darkness to appreciate light, and whether a fated tragedy can be rewritten by the power of choice and love.
