Synopsis

In the devastating wake of the events from Season 3, Mark Grayson finds himself a changed man. No longer the optimistic teenager who first donned the yellow-and-blue suit, Mark is now a battle-hardened hero struggling with the immense guilt of the lives lost during the Viltrumite skirmishes on Earth. As he attempts to rebuild his life and his relationship with Eve, he realizes that the peace he fought so hard for is merely the calm before a much larger, cosmic storm. The Viltrumite Empire is not retreating; it is regrouping under a new, far more dangerous leader.

The fourth season introduces Grand Regent Thragg, the most powerful and ruthless Viltrumite to ever live. Unlike previous antagonists, Thragg possesses a singular focus: the absolute survival and expansion of his race at any cost. This sets him on a direct collision course with Omni-Man and Allen the Alien, who have formed an uneasy alliance to rally the Coalition of Planets for a final stand. Mark is forced to leave Earth behind to join this intergalactic resistance, realizing that the only way to save his home is to take the fight to the heart of the Viltrumite Empire.

Back on Earth, the vacuum left by the primary heroes is filled by new and unpredictable threats. The prehistoric genius known as Dinosaurus arrives with a radical, often violent vision for “fixing” the planet’s ecological and social issues, forcing the remaining Guardians of the Globe to question their own methods. Simultaneously, a mysterious and powerful alien warrior named Universa arrives on a desperate quest to save her own world, viewing Earth’s energy resources as her people’s only salvation—even if it means the extinction of humanity.

The season is a high-stakes exploration of the moral gray areas of war. As the conflict escalates into a full-scale “Viltrumite War,” Mark is pushed to his absolute breaking point, forced to make impossible choices between his duty as a protector and his identity as a father and son.
