Synopsis

Takshakudu is a myth-inspired Telugu action thriller that reunites the successful duo from Middle Class Melodies – actor Anand Deverakonda and director Vinod Anantoju.

The story is set in a remote, rural landscape where ancient folklore breathes and local myths dictate the lives of the villagers. The narrative follows Suri (Anand Deverakonda), a man grappling with deep moral dilemmas in a world fueled by greed and human frailty. After a cursed night results in a tragedy that leaves an entire village in ashes, the balance of power shifts, revealing dark, mystical forces that have long remained dormant.

Driven by a need for justice and vengeance, a blind tribesman and his loyal dog embark on a perilous journey across the rugged terrain to confront the “hunter” responsible for the destruction. As Suri is sucked into this vengeful hunt, the film explores a world where “in the story penned by the hunter, the deer is always the criminal.” It is an atmospheric, suspenseful ride where the silence is as unsettling as the violence, blending gritty rural realism with a touch of the supernatural.
