Synopsis

The series introduces Amar Vishwas (Rajeev Khandelwal), a brilliant and eccentric lawyer in his early 40s who leads a paradox of a life—residing in a luxurious Mumbai penthouse while dedicating his career to championing the cause of the voiceless. His sharp legal mind is often sparked by the smallest details hidden in obscure news reports. His quiet life is disrupted when he encounters Bahar Chakravarty, a young woman trapped in a predatory, “watertight” contract by the ruthless film producer Jessu Momin. Seeing a pattern of exploitation in Momin’s past, Amar decides to dismantle the contract, only to find himself in a high-stakes legal battle against his own mentor and legendary lawyer, Digambar Dixit (Ravi Behl).

The drama takes a lethal turn when Jessu Momin is found brutally murdered in a hotel room. With the media labeling the case as “open-and-shut” and suspicion falling squarely on Bahar, Amar realizes that the facts being presented are merely a smokescreen. He steps in as her defense, utilizing a tech-savvy team and his own investigative instincts to navigate a web of suspects that includes Bahar’s boyfriend and Momin’s business rivals. Amar operates on a strict principle: to nail a culprit, one must prove the “trio” of motive, means, and opportunity—and in this case, the motive is everywhere, but the truth is elusive.

As the investigation deepens, a second mysterious murder occurs, further complicating the narrative and raising the stakes for everyone involved. Amar’s pursuit of the truth eventually reveals a startling conclusion: there are two distinct killers responsible for the two different crimes. By “throwing the law book out the window” and employing unconventional tactics, Amar successfully clears Bahar’s name and convicts the real culprits. However, the resolution of the case provides no peace for Amar himself, as the trial unearths breadcrumbs related to his own mysterious origins as an orphan raised by a Parsi guardian.
