Synopsis

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Prey), this installment takes the franchise into the far future on the alien “death planet” of Genna. For the first time, a Yautja (Predator) is the central protagonist.

The story follows Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), a young Predator who is considered a “runt” by his clan’s harsh standards. After his father, the clan leader Njohrr, executes his brother for protecting him, Dek is exiled to Genna. His mission is a suicide hunt: he must track and kill the Kalisk, a legendary, near-invincible apex predator, to prove his worthiness.

On this hostile world, Dek forms an unlikely and touching alliance with Thia (Elle Fanning), a damaged Weyland-Yutani synthetic who has been abandoned by her team. As they navigate the planet’s lethal flora and fauna, they find themselves hunted by both the Kalisk and a squad of ruthless corporate synthetics led by Thia’s “sister,” Tessa. The film is a departure for the series, focusing on themes of “found family” and the evolution of the hunter’s code, culminating in Dek returning to his home world to challenge the father who discarded him.
