Synopsis

The narrative transports the iconic “Modern Colony” gang from their familiar lanes in Kanpur to the scenic yet unpredictable landscapes of Uttarakhand. The eternal rivalry between Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (Aasif Sheikh) and Manmohan Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) remains the driving force, as both continue their hilariously failed attempts to impress each other’s wives, Anita (Vidisha Srivastava) and Angoori (Shubhangi Atre). Under the guise of a neighborly getaway, the two families set off on a road trip that quickly spirals into a whirlwind of misunderstandings and slapstick adventures.

The stakes are raised when the group inadvertently crosses paths with two eccentric and dangerous gangster brothers, Shanti (Ravi Kishan) and Kranti (Mukesh Tiwari). After a series of bizarre accidents—including a scuffle that leaves Shanti with a damaged scalp—the brothers become obsessed with Angoori and Anita. Believing they have found their perfect matches, the gangsters decide to “dispose” of the husbands so they can marry the bhabhijis themselves, leading to a frantic high-stakes chase across the hills.

As the chase intensifies, the film leans into the show’s signature brand of humor, featuring a barrage of disguises, “Sahi pakde hain” moments, and the signature flatulent comedy of Tiwari Ji. The group finds themselves trapped in increasingly absurd situations, including a brief detour into a “haunted” forest and several near-death experiences that only serve to highlight the characters’ endearing insecurities. The plot eventually builds to a chaotic, multi-layered climax involving the local police, led by the ever-opportunistic Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi).

The film ultimately serves as a larger-than-life tribute to the bond between these two dysfunctional families. While the setting is grander and the danger more real, the heart of the story remains rooted in the petty jealousies and hidden affections that have kept audiences hooked for over a decade. By the time they make their way back to Kanpur, the status quo is restored, but not before every character has been pushed to their absolute comedic limit in the great outdoors.

This film marks a historic milestone as the first instance of a currently airing Indian sitcom being adapted into a full-scale theatrical motion picture.
