Synopsis

Brat is a 2025 Kannada-language action drama directed by Shashank Taalya. The film explores the dark side of ambition, greed, and the illegal world of cricket betting.

The plot follows Kristy (Darling Krishna), a restless young man from a modest middle-class family. Frustrated by his family’s financial struggles and bored with his odd jobs, Kristy is the polar opposite of his father, Mahadevaiah (Achyuth Kumar), an honest and disciplined head constable who believes in hard work and integrity.

Kristy’s life changes when he discovers the world of online cricket betting. Using his deep knowledge of the sport, he begins making easy money. His early success blinds him to the risks, and he eventually drags his friends and even his girlfriend, Manisha (Manisha Kandkur), into his schemes.

The situation turns deadly when a major bet goes wrong and a bookie cheats him. Trapped in a massive debt, Kristy becomes entangled with a ruthless betting mafia led by the menacing Dollar Mani (Dragon Manju) and a corrupt police inspector, Ravikumar (Ramesh Indira). After a tragic incident involving a close friend, Kristy must decide whether to continue his path of crime or find redemption through his father’s principles.
