Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film marks Rani Mukerji’s 30th anniversary in the Indian film industry, reprising her iconic role in what has been described as the “darkest and most brutal” chapter of the trilogy.
Mardaani 3 is the darkest and most chilling chapter of the beloved Mardaani franchise bringing back Rani Mukerji as the fearless Senior Superintendent of Police Shivani Shivaji Roy for her most harrowing investigation yet.
The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of 93 young girls aged between eight and ten over just three months. As Shivani begins her investigation, she uncovers a horrifying nexus involving a beggar mafia and an illegal medical operation. The narrative escalates when it is revealed that the abducted children are being subjected to dangerous experimental treatments involving a modified HPV virus.
n Bulandshahr, Ruhani: the daughter of an Indian Diplomat: is abducted while playing hide-and-seek with Jhimli, the daughter of a domestic helper. When Jhimli attempts to intervene, she is abducted as well. What begins as a missing persons case rapidly spirals into something far more sinister a cold, calculated, and deeply disturbing criminal network operating in plain sight.

Standing against Shivani this time is Amma played by Mallika Prasad the franchise’s first-ever female villain. Amma isn’t presented as inherently monstrous she is a product of a system that rewards cruelty, indifference, and survival at any cost. That grounding makes her more frightening than a conventional villain. The confrontation between these two fierce women one fighting for justice, one for survival forms the raw, electrifying heart of the film.
