Synopsis

Following the death of her grandfather, 20-year-old aspiring pianist Alma returns to her childhood home on a secluded island in the Canadian wilderness. Her quiet life is transformed when she discovers the wreckage of a plane meant for a circus, carrying a lion cub poached from Africa. Shortly after, a female wolf—who had a bond with her grandfather—seeks refuge in Alma’s cabin with her own pup to escape pursuing scientists.

The lion cub, named Dreamer, and the wolf pup, named Mozart, quickly form an inseparable bond, growing up together as brothers under Alma’s secret care. For a time, the three live in harmony, sheltered from the outside world. However, their sanctuary is shattered when a forest ranger discovers the animals and separates them. Mozart is sent to a research facility, while Dreamer is reclaimed by the circus and its harsh training methods.

Desperate to find one another, the two animals embark on a treacherous and epic journey across the rugged Canadian landscape. Their bond remains the driving force as they navigate various dangers, following their instincts back toward the island and the girl who raised them. The story highlights the resilience of animals and the deep, communicative connection they share with humans.
