Synopsis

Thunderbolts (2025) dives deep into the morally gray corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together an unconventional team of antiheroes, assassins, and fallen soldiers. After years of chaos and betrayal left behind by the Avengers’ disbandment and global instability, the world’s leaders turn to a different kind of solution — one that doesn’t wear capes. Under the command of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, a secretive government operative with her own agenda, a group of unpredictable and conflicted individuals is assembled for a covert mission that no traditional hero could be trusted to handle.

Among them is Yelena Belova, the assassin-turned-spy still haunted by her past in the Red Room; Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier struggling to find redemption for his violent history; Red Guardian, the aging super-soldier desperate to reclaim a sense of purpose; John Walker, the disgraced U.S. Agent torn between duty and ego; Ghost, the tormented former S.H.I.E.L.D. experiment whose powers make her a living weapon; and Taskmaster, a mimic assassin fighting to rediscover her true identity.
