Synopsis

The story centers on “81” (Alan Ritchson), a elite combat engineer and top-tier candidate in the world’s most grueling U.S. Army Ranger selection program. As the unit enters the final 24 hours of their training—a brutal endurance exercise in a remote, hostile environment—the controlled simulation spirals into a lethal reality. The candidates discover they are no longer being tested by their instructors, but are being hunted by an “unimaginable threat” that has descended upon their training grounds.

The antagonist is revealed to be a towering, technologically advanced robotic killing machine of otherworldly origin. Pitted against a foe with superior weaponry and near-invulnerability, the trainees must transition from students to soldiers in a heartbeat. The film is described as a “military survival thriller” that channels the visceral tension of Predator while maintaining the grounded, heavy-hitting action Ritchson has become known for.

As the body count rises, the squad’s commanding officer, Sgt. Maj. Sheridan (Dennis Quaid), must coordinate a desperate defense from the outside while 81 leads the survivors through a gauntlet of “shooting, explosions, and direct confrontations.” The trainees are forced to use their raw survival skills and makeshift tactics to dismantle a machine designed for total extinction.
