Synopsis

Abar Proloy 2 picks up where the gripping first season left off, this time shifting the battlefield from the dense jungles of the Sundarbans to the bustling, unforgiving streets of Kolkata. Crime Branch officer Animesh Dutta returns to investigate a sophisticated chain of gold heists linked by a cryptic symbolic calling card — “Netaji’s Salute.”

The season begins with the first wave of heists across Purulia, Ranaghat, and Barrackpore — crimes that look too precise to be random. The pattern slowly reveals itself as something far more sinister — an organised, powerful syndicate that not only steals but sends a deliberate signal to the police and the city.

The narrative explores deep-rooted corruption, urban power, and the ruthlessness of modern organised criminal networks. As the investigation grows increasingly personal, Animesh must outsmart a powerful syndicate before violence escalates further across the city.
