Synopsis

Another Miss Oh (also known as Another Oh Hae-young) is a popular South Korean romantic drama available on Amazon MX Player (often dubbed in Hindi for Indian audiences). It is a story about how a simple coincidence of sharing the same name can completely derail and then rebuild a person’s life.

The story revolves around two women who both share the name Oh Hae-young. In high school, one was known as the “Pretty” Oh Hae-young—popular, wealthy, and perfect—while the other was the “Ordinary” Oh Hae-young, who lived in the shadow of her famous classmate. Years later, the “Ordinary” Hae-young is dumped by her fiancé the day before her wedding, leaving her life in shambles and making her the target of neighborhood gossip.

Meanwhile, Park Do-kyung, a top-tier movie sound director, is still reeling from being stood up at the altar by the “Pretty” Oh Hae-young a year prior. When he hears that an “Oh Hae-young” is getting married to a young businessman, he assumes it is his ex-girlfriend. Blinded by a desire for revenge, he sabotages the man’s business, causing him to go to jail and call off the wedding. However, he soon realizes with horror that he ruined the life of the “Ordinary” Oh Hae-young, a complete stranger.

As fate would have it, Do-kyung begins to experience mysterious supernatural visions of a woman he has never met—the very same “Ordinary” Hae-young. These visions show him flashes of their future together before they even happen. When the two eventually meet and become neighbors, a complex and deeply emotional romance begins to bloom. Do-kyung is torn between his growing love for her and the crushing guilt of knowing he is the reason her original wedding was destroyed.

The drama reaches a boiling point when the “Pretty” Oh Hae-young returns to reclaim Do-kyung, and the truth about the sabotaged wedding finally comes to light. The show explores themes of self-worth and destiny, showing how the “Ordinary” Hae-young finally learns to stop comparing herself to others and finds a love that is uniquely hers.
