Synopsis

DTF St. Louis is a seven-episode dark comedy limited series that explores the messy intersection of suburban boredom and lethal consequences.

Originally inspired by the true-crime article My Dentist’s Murder Trial, the project underwent a significant creative evolution, moving away from its source material to become a wholly original story penned by showrunner Steven Conrad (Patriot).

A love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise leads to one of them ending up dead.

The story follows Floyd (David Harbour) and Carol (Linda Cardellini), a couple living a seemingly mundane suburban life until Floyd’s friend Clark (Jason Bateman) introduces him to a provocative app called DTF St. Louis. Intended to “spice up” their stagnant romantic lives, the app instead becomes the catalyst for a tangled web of adultery and false identities. When one of the trio is found dead at a crime scene, a skeptical investigator (Joy Sunday) begins to unearth the dark, kinky, and ultimately tragic secrets hidden behind the curated facade of their middle-class existence.
