Synopsis

The fifth and final season of the Emmy-winning comedy begins in the wake of a bizarre media blunder: a series of mistaken news reports have prematurely announced the death of Deborah Vance. Rather than being offended, Deborah sees this “posthumous” praise as the ultimate marketing tool. She and Ava return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to cement her legacy while she’s still very much alive to enjoy it.

Following the chaotic Season 4 finale—where Deborah dramatically resigned from The Late Night Show during a live broadcast—the duo must rebuild her brand from the ground up. The season follows their journey across Las Vegas, New York, and beyond as they navigate the fallout of her late-night exit and attempt to stage a “legendary comeback” that proves Deborah is still the queen of comedy. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Kayla struggle to scale their new PR agency, and Marcus finds himself at a professional crossroads after his resignation from Deborah’s team.
