Synopsis

The series follows Lucky Armstrong (Anya Taylor-Joy), a brilliant con artist who has spent her life perfecting the art of the scam under the tutelage of her father. Her world is thrown into chaos when a multi-million-dollar heist goes spectacularly sideways, leaving her waking up next to a dead body and a target on her back. Forced to go on the run, she is relentlessly pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Priscilla (Annette Bening), who will stop at nothing to reclaim what was stolen.

As Lucky navigates a dangerous “neon-noir” landscape from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the stakes take a surreal turn. She discovers that a lottery ticket she bought on a whim is worth millions, offering her a chance at a second life. However, there is a crushing catch: cashing in the ticket would require her to reveal her identity to the authorities, essentially handing herself over to the police for her prior crimes. Caught between her criminal past and a golden future, she must use every trick she’s ever learned to survive.

The narrative dives deep into Lucky’s complex relationship with her father, John (Timothy Olyphant), as she tries to reconcile the man who raised her with the life of crime he forced upon her.
