Synopsis

Penance 2020 Season 1 Series is a psychological crime drama that explores grief, guilt, and emotional vulnerability. The story follows Rosalie, a grieving mother whose life is shattered after the tragic death of her teenage daughter. Struggling to cope with the loss, she becomes emotionally withdrawn and unable to move forward.

Rosalie’s life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Maddie, a young woman who bears a striking resemblance to her late daughter. Drawn together by shared pain, the two form a close bond that brings Rosalie comfort and a sense of emotional healing she desperately needs.
