Synopsis

Gargi is a gripping legal drama and thriller that centers on the life of Gargi, a young schoolteacher from a modest lower-middle-class family. Her world is abruptly shattered when her father, Brahmanandam, a quiet security guard at an apartment complex, is arrested as the prime suspect in a horrific gang-rape case involving a minor. While the media and society instantly condemn him, Gargi firmly believes in her father’s innocence, recalling him as a gentle man who once protected her from abuse.

Determined to exonerate him, she faces immense hostility from her neighbors, the police, and even her own extended family. With seasoned lawyers refusing to touch the case due to the stigma, Gargi finds an unlikely ally in Indrans Kaliyaperumal, an inexperienced and struggling junior lawyer who takes the case largely because he has nothing to lose. Together, they navigate a hostile legal system, battling a biased police investigation and overwhelming public prejudice to uncover the truth.
