Synopsis

Pani is a gritty, high-octane action thriller that marks the directorial debut of actor Joju George. Set in the heart of Thrissur, the story revolves around Giri, a former local don who has traded his violent past for a successful life as a businessman and real estate developer. He leads a tight-knit “family” of friends and associates, living a relatively peaceful life with his wife, Gauri. However, the shadows of the city’s underworld never truly disappear, and the equilibrium is shattered when two reckless, psychopathic young men, Don and Siju, enter the scene.

The conflict ignites when Don and Siju, eager to make a name for themselves in the crime world, commit a brutal murder. Their path crosses with Giri’s in a supermarket, where they disrespectfully misbehave with Gauri. In a moment of protective rage, Giri beats the duo publicly, unknowingly starting a catastrophic chain reaction. Unlike traditional criminals who respect the unspoken hierarchy of the city, Don and Siju are remorseless and unpredictable, fueled by a chaotic ego that makes them far more dangerous than the seasoned mobsters they are up against.

What follows is a brutal “how-catchem” revenge saga that shifts from a family drama into a violent cat-and-mouse game. The young antagonists launch a series of personal attacks on Giri’s inner circle, targeting his friends and family with terrifying cruelty.
